Formative Assessment Practices

Audience:

Classroom teachers, Instructional Coaches, & Principals.

Description:

During this intensive two-day professional learning, you will gain practical strategies for implementing formative assessment throughout the learning cycle. Learn how to use the data to adjust or differentiate instruction and target support. Participants will design formative assessments to be utilized in their classroom.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will gain a deep understanding of the formative assessment process within the classroom.
• Participants will gain practical formative assessment practices to implement within the formative assessment process.
• Participants will learn how to use formative data to adjust or differentiate instruction for students.
• Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on and design a formative assessment plan for their classroom.

This workshop is open to all CESA 10 districts at $50/person ($550 value) through the Assessment Project grant.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the event to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours or no-shows will be charged the full registration fee (LS1a non-member) or a $25 late cancellation fee (LS1a member). Substitutions are welcome.

CESA 10 may cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. If the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District closes for weather, CESA 10 events are also canceled and will be rescheduled if possible.
