Decoding Behavior

03/23/2026 12:00 PM - 03:00 PM CT

Description

Audience:

Classroom teachers, support staff, & paraprofessionals.

Description:

Behavior never happens "out of the blue" and always serves a purpose. This session is designed to help educators and support staff understand what student behavior is trying to communicate and achieve, and how the environment supports it. This session will provide a tool and a process to help those working with students understand these low-intensity behaviors and how to address them.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the ABCs of behavior.
  • Identify ways to make the low-intensity behaviors no longer effective.
  • Plan ways to incorporate this knowledge into your practice.

This workshop is offered to those districts participating in CESA 10’s School Improvement Consortium (LS1a) Services at $80/person including: Abbotsford, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eau Claire, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.

The cost for all other participants is $120/person.
