Description:
Behavior instruction and support is an area of education that is often addressed, but seldom talked about at a system or practice level. Behavior is also perceived as "getting worse" yet can be exacerbated by how adults respond to behaviors. This network is intended to help normalize conversations and evidence based supports from prevention to consistent responses, share the most recent research and resources, and provide those who routinely address or work with behavior a chance to share ideas and network with others in a similar role, while centering the student in how we operate.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn and explore emerging trends of research.
- Share approaches and gain support ideas for staff.
- Examine how to build staff capacity regarding behavior instruction and support on an ongoing basis.
This workshop is offered at no additional cost to those districts participating in CESA 10’s School Improvement Consortium (LS1a) Services including: Abbotsford, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eau Claire, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.
The cost for all other participants is $1350/district, $100/additional person.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the event to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours or no-shows will be charged the full registration fee (LS1a non-member) or a $25 late cancellation fee (LS1a member). Substitutions are welcome.
CESA 10 may cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control.
