What's Different or Not Different About Teaching Reading to Multilingual Students

Teachers, Instructional Leaders, Literacy Coaches, and Instructional Coaches.

Description:

Do you support multilingual students in reading instruction? If yes, this virtual series is for you. Starting July 14th the next 4 Mondays a video link will be shared for you to watch on your time. Each video is between 90-120 minutes. The video links will be available until August 18th. 

Learning Outcomes:

• Participants will increase understanding of the similarities and differences in teaching reading to multilingual students.
• Participants will learn instructional strategies to support multilingual students during literacy instruction.

This workshop is offered at no additional cost to those districts participating in CESA 10’s Title III Services, including: Altoona, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Cornell, Eleva-Strum, Fall Creek, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Medford, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Spencer, Stanley-Boyd, and Thorp.

This workshop is also offered to those districts not in our Title III Services, but participating in our School Improvement Consortium (LS1a) Services at $170/person including: Abbotsford, Colby, and Eau Claire.

The cost for all other participants is $255/person.
