Body Processing: Regulation and Sensory In-Person Training - Canceled
October 31, 2024
8:30 am-3:30 pm
CESA 10 Conference Center
The way our body takes in, interprets and reacts to the world can vary for a variety of reasons. In this training participants will be introduced to this process and possible places students might be experiencing differences that cause unexpected reactions. Staying curious and learning more about a student's perspective and how their body is adapting can help educators and families support that student to be the best they can be. Through looking at our sensory processing systems and our regulatory systems we can build support to help students navigate the world they are experiencing.
Objectives:
- Sensory systems and sensory processing differences will be discussed
- We will learn how the stress response system works within our brain and the role it plays in a student's ability to be regulated
- Strategies for being proactive and positive when students experience differences that cause unexpected reactions will be provided in this learning event
Cost: $50.00*
*NO COST to parents and family members of students with IEP's and IDEA Discretionary Grant Employees
