Description:
Top 10 Tools is one of the approved teacher trainings for Act 20 compliance. This is a synchronous and asynchronous reading training to prepare educators for evidence-based reading and language arts instruction. Districts will be provided with a learning guide for independent work, as well as virtual networking times for discussion and application of the Science of Reading within the district's comprehensive literacy program. This is designed for classroom teachers, teachers with their 316 reading teacher license, special education & EL teachers that support reading; meets requirements for Act 20 teacher training for K-3rd grade and special education teachers.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will collaborate and integrate evidence-based practices.
- Participants will be prepared to support evidence-based and science-based literacy instruction.
This workshop is offered at $725/person to those districts participating in CESA 10’s School Improvement Consortium (LS1a) Services including: Abbotsford, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eau Claire, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Loyal, Mondovi, Owen-Withee, and Spencer.
The cost for all other participants is $1,075/person.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the event to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours or no-shows will be charged the full registration fee. Substitutions are welcome.
CESA 10 may cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. If the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District closes for weather, CESA 10 events are also canceled and will be rescheduled if possible.
