Description
This course is designed for people who encounter and/or disturb asbestos while conducting maintenance-related activities during their work. The following topics will be covered during the training session:
- The background of asbestos
- Health effects
- Personal protective equipment
- Recognizing deteriorated asbestos
This mandatory training is required to meet the OSHA asbestos regulations adopted by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. If you or your staff perform operations and maintenance activities at your facility, this training must be taken on an annual basis.
This workshop is offered at no additional cost to EHS member districts, the cost for all other participants is $149/person.
