Description
This training is required for custodial and maintenance staff working in a school building with asbestos-containing materials or assumed to contain asbestos. This course satisfied the mandatory OSHA regulations adopted by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. Topics covered during the training include:
- History and identification of asbestos
- Cleaning procedures
- Federal and state regulations
- Personal protective equipment use
- How to handle asbestos-containing materials for occupant safety
This workshop is offered at no additonal cost to EHS member districts, the cost for all other participants is $99/person.
